PappaRoti @The_Avenues

I was at The Avenues for a meeting one morning and decided to pass by PappaRoti for a quick bite before my meeting! The place was fully packed in the outside seating area, and only a couple of tables inside. The staff there were super fast and friendly! I was familiar with the bun… tried it for the first time a couple of years ago in Dubai (link) and liked it since then.. so I did not bother looking at the menu! I ordered the bun with karak milk

The order took few minutes for it to get on my table! Fresh bun out of the oven, golden brown all over coffee cream crust, placed on a wooden tray with my milk in paper cup as per my request..

The right way to eat a “bun” is using your hands, not fork and knife πŸ˜› Believe me it would taste WAY better πŸ˜‰ In the end, its a BUN! πŸ˜‰ Just sink your teeth in it… break into the crust to reveal the fluffy soft texture inside… with melted butter in the center! The mixture of flavors you get in one bite is surreal! A bit of sweetness, saltiness, coffee, spices… and je ne sais quoi!

Its a treat… the aroma and taste together makes it the perfect treat! Truly exceptional bun πŸ™‚ I am glad the branch in Kuwait is just as good as the one in Dubai where I first got to try it πŸ˜‰ As for the karak tea… it was okay. I prefer to have my bun with black coffee to be honest πŸ˜‰

Total came to KD2.250 πŸ˜‰
