Most Powerful Arab Women 2012

Mark posted about Sheikha AlBahar being one of the most powerful women for 2012 on the Arabian Business website (link), which reminded me that when I got an email notification last month about it, I was planning to post about Raja AlGurg, Most Powerful Arab Woman #5 in the list, and who happens to be my mom’s cousin from Dubai

I love her so much and I am so proud to have her as my aunt! She is a phenomenal woman with many talents. To begin with, she is the MD of her father, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group. She is also the president for the Dubai Business Women Council. Aside of that, she is the deputy chairperson of the board of directors at Dubai Healthcare City and a board member at both; The Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry as well as Dubai Women Council. She is also a member of Dubai Economic Council, The Arab International Women’s Forum, National Advisory Council at The College of Business Sciences.

She represents the UAE at many international conferences around the globe – and aside of all those business groups, she spends great deal of time in philanthropic, social, and charitable events notably with Easa Saleh Al Gurg Charity Foundation!

On another note… and beside Sheikha AlBahar, other Women from Kuwait in the list were Sheikha Hessa Bint Saad AlSabah (#18), Suad AlHumaidhi (#34), Maha AlGhunaim (#43), Donna Sultan (#44), Maha Hussein (#51), Fawzieh Al Dorai (#53), Rola Dashti (#56), Riham Fouad AlGhanim (#78), Ghosson Ghassan Al Khaled (#86), Manar AlHashash (#91), Hosnia Hashem (#95)
