Souq Al Tanabel or AlKaslaneen (سوق التنابل- الكسلانين بسوريا) means the “Lazy-Folks” Market! I heard so much about it before my trip to Syria last year… we were talking about it yesterday and I remembered that I never posted about it… so there you go 😉

The market is located in Al Sha’lan neighborhood… my sisters, nephew, and I headed there one day early in the morning after breakfast to check it out

The market is so lively and full of things to check out… fresh and dried fruit and veggies, beans, groceries in general….

And more…. what do I mean by more? Well… ready to cook, cleaned, and prepared veggies and foods!!

Hollowed/pitted zucchinis and eggplants, cut/diced/sliced veggies and herbs, stripped garlic bulbs and more… all packaged and ready to go

It really helps specially with the busy lives we lead today and knowing how Syrians are super clean and neat, you wont really worry about buying from them!
