A Day With The November Girls: Bakery

I was at The November Flower Shop last week and fell in love instantly with the new look! The Bakery had moved to the tunnel and the other location is now for flower arrangements, gift wrapping, and accessories…. it was all beautiful! I contacted Ms. Bibi & Ms. Jude Hayat to schedule an appointment to view the store “officially” and with my camera… they happily accepted ๐Ÿ™‚ *lucky me*

As soon as I stepped in the store I was greeted by Bibi with loads of sweets on the table waiting for me… all elegantly set on the table (by the way, that was just some of the many yummies I tried) with coffee and orange juice… soon after we were joined by Jude… who came in with the sweetest smile ever ๐Ÿ™‚ I had fun with them! They made me try many many items! The one on my plate above is the love child of basboosa and sponge cake! Not too sweet, and contains no eggs! I also tried a couple of gluten-free and dairy-free items.. oh and a VERY yummy coffee sweet called Squillionaire (I dont have a picture of it ๐Ÿ™ ) – maybe I will do a whole post about it later ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyways… after our sweet chit-chat and sweet yummies I started snapping away pictures of the store/bakery! Very sweet by the way (am I saying SWEET a lot in this post?).. the wallpapers, the colors, the interiors… very English, and very elegant…. and modern-ish too! Iย starting with the many many wedding cakes around!

There is for sure a cake for everyone…. I, for example, like to go for “less is more” designs… and they have a lot of those, but that doesn’t mean they do not cater to other tastes!

But in general, the style is simple… with soft colors and dreamy touches… and you can see how they can change that to fit into other styles and taste from the cake below, with this peacock and all the details that goes along with it *and the black icing* very bold!

I was just having fun… and they gave me the green light to snap away – my kinda girls <3

Bibi told me how she likes to break out of the ordinary and for example have three small cakes (or more) of different flavors instead of ONE HUGE cake…

Oh look at those beauties below! My favorite red velvet cake in town! Its not big by the way, but the attention paid to details and work done to each piece makes it even better

Another favorite of mine…. The Heart Breaker (link)

A piece of art on its own! Don’t you agree? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh and this cake is called Ayoosh Walnut Bundt

Look how the walnut are arranged *Thank you Jude for your help with the picture*

Back to more and more of the wedding cakes on display… a bird cage, very summary ๐Ÿ˜‰ Yeah Bibi told me how cake designs are also seasonal ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh and they have the cutest and most unusual cake bride n’ groom toppers… like this one

And now lets check other items in the bakery

Let me start with the packaging boxes and bags on display! Beautiful display! Yes they are part of theย sceneryย too ๐Ÿ™‚ Smart! They have one themed packaging but goes differently for the items they have… the cakes, cupcakes, cookies, coffee sweets… you get the idea! ๐Ÿ˜‰

And the center table in the middle.. shows a bit of their items and table arrangements too

Everything is displayed in a beautiful way

Coffee Sweets

Oh and check those out… its unusual square of goodness ๐Ÿ˜‰ It is very similar -texture wise- to cheesecake, yet it is not cheesecake! There is a crusty base, topped with dark chocolate and pumpkin (I love anything pumpkin) and topped with a a glaze! It may sound heavy after you read how I described it, but its so light and so good! Ansam518 Approved ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh and they also sell Tempered Goodies by Mimi in store (link)

Now that we are done with the bakery… I will take you to the flower shop, but in another post ๐Ÿ˜‰ So stay tuned for this one

November is located in Al Tilal Complex (Tunnel Area) – opposite of Home Center.
