Gergai’an 2011

Just like last year’s post about Gergaian, I will post few pictures of this year’s Gergaian as well ๐Ÿ˜‰

My sister Mimmi prepared colorful Ramadani tin buckets with candies, chocolates, and nuts for our friends! We had few friends coming over and each one left with a bucket ๐Ÿ˜‰

As for the Gergaian I got this year, first one was from my friend Abdulaziz AlAnjeri’s Dolce Antico

Very festive and colorful bag with Gergaian box inside decorated withย tassels and a small bell

Inside of which? A bag of nuts and Dolce Antico’s fancy chocolates ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank you Abdulaziz ๐Ÿ™‚

Another Gergai’an I got and loved loved LOVED so much was from another, much younger, Abdulaziz – His mom sent it to me in a beautiful heavy box – I quickly unwrapped the box to reveal the surprise

A beautiful wooden mini colorful chest with ceramic drawers! Inside of each drawer a branded chocolate or candy!

Thank you Beeka ;*

Oh and I will count this ice cream as Gergai’an as well from Scoop a Cone ๐Ÿ˜‰

I got thisย Styrofoam from Scoop a Cone with the Gergai’an hype! A sticker on the corner reads “Ramadan Kareem” and a cute little red ribbon that reads “Gergaian”

My friend Farah tasted it and said the chocolate and mango flavors were the best! I’m usually not a fan of those two flavors – specially mango ice cream (to me, mangoes are just fruit – not juice, not ice cream, not cake!) but this one was exceptionally good! It was rich in flavor, as if I was eating a frozenย Alfonso!

Thanks Scoop a Cone ๐Ÿ˜‰

UPDATES:

Another Gergaian box I got was from my friend Um3azoz of MVMJ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Inside of which is a wooden box and pictures of her adorable boys Aziz and Ahmed – a la Saher Ellayl style! I LOVED IT ๐Ÿ˜€

Ghraybah (Kuwaiti chickpeas flour cookies that melt in your mouth) – unique and different ๐Ÿ˜€

And let us not forget VIVA’s Gergaian to us (link) which was given to all attendees of their Social Media Ghabga with IDEOS phone ๐Ÿ˜‰

The gergai’an itself was placed in black crescent wrapped up with VIVA theme colors ribbons! I liked it so much ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank you VIVA ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks Dalal ;***

Another lovely Gergai’an surprise from THOUQ team ๐Ÿ˜‰

A white paper bag with Gergai’an greetings (ูƒู„ ู‚ุฑู‚ูŠุนุงู† ุฉุฃู†ุชู… ุจุฎูŠุฑ)… inside of which was a golden and fuchsia bag that look like bugsha (a wrapped piece of clothe that you can carry things in it)

The bag was tied to a traditional looking large serving spoon (ู…ู„ุงุณ) but not in its traditional silver bolor… it was cobalt blue! So you see the contrast of colors here, fuchsia, gold, and cobalt blue! Very stylish – very THOUQ of them <3

The color contrasting theme doesn’t end there! The lining fabric inside the gergai’an bag was in bright yellow with colorful floral patterns! I loved it

It contained a plastic bag of candies, chocolates, and nuts + Red Chinese style compact mirror + Mani/Pedi set + Playing cards + Two green mesbah (Arabic/Islamic rosary) + carabiner key ring + Mini torch + Lime green Nike head band

Loved the gift – Thank youย @THOUQ ๐Ÿ˜€ – Special thanks goes to Ms. May Q. ๐Ÿ˜‰ – Check out their post about it here!

My cousin’s son, Baby Ahmed sent us this cute Gergaian! Very simple yet very elegant and sweet – I like it ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank You M, L, S, and A ๐Ÿ˜‰ We loved it ๐Ÿ˜€
